SonySugar Company 2025 Limited Invests Ksh 200 Million to Improve Operations

Management of South Nyanza Sugar Company 2025 Limited has purchased machinery worth over Ksh 200 million to improve operations and offer better services to the farmers. Managing Director JP Odhiambo, on behalf of Mr Ali Taib who is the Company’s Executive Chairman, flagged off the newly acquired machinery on Friday 25th July at a colourful ceremony punctuated by enthralling entertainment from SonySugar Nursery learners led by the Head Teacher, Mrs. Jackline Wabuko.
“The equipment comprising eighteen motorcycles, five four-wheel winches, fifteen tractors and one Shantui cane grappler will form part of the Company’s strategic fleet that will supplement the services of the private transport contractors.” Said the MD who was flanked by Mr. Hussein Taib and partners from CMC Kenya and Inchcape Kenya.
She revealed, the company has paid farmers another Ksh 200 million in less than two months of operation. "We keep the promise of paying farmers after 7 days, and that's just the average turnaround period. Otherwise some farmers have received payment after five days" she said.
Mr Yassin Seker, CMC group CEO assured the company of a stronger partnership established since 1990. Also present was Mr Fredrick Onserio, services manager at Inchcape Kenya. "We will service the equipment regularly to ensure optimal use." He said. The machinery has a one year warranty.
