- The Best Sugar Industry Stand—Position 1
- The Most Striking Display (demonstration of locally manufactured products)—Position 1

The coveted trophies were received on behalf of the Company by the Managing Director, Jane Pamela Odhiambo, from the Deputy Governor of Kisumu County, Dr Mathews Owili, who was the chief guest on Friday 24th July, 2026. The ceremony was conducted at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium located within the ASK Mamboleo showground in Kisumu.
During the five-day exhibition, SonySugar 2025 showcased a range of products and services, including white and brown sugar and their packaging, molasses, bagasse, and products manufactured from factory waste. A key highlight was the Company’s partnership with Bello Mushrooms based in Kajiado County, which uses bagasse to grow edible mushrooms. According to Bello Mushrooms CEO Vera Mburugu, the mushrooms are further treated to value addition and packaged to prolong their shelf life, processed into mushroom crisps and mushroom flour for porridge and soup. This circular economy initiative, she says, ensures food security and creates jobs for the youths engaged along the value chain.
The exhibition attracted thousands of people, including traders, investors, researchers, academicians, learners, leaders and administrators. Among the notable dignitaries who visited SonySugar 2025 stand were the Nyanza Regional Coordinator Onesmus Musyoki Kyatha, Kisumu County Commissioner Ramadhan Mwabudzo, the KESRETI CEO Dr Chrisphine Omondi, and entrepreneur George Ruto. Our #SimplyTheSweetest sugar retailed at a promotional price, to the delight of our Kisumu customers.
