SonySugar Nursery School Shines at the 2026 National Drama Festival
SonySugar Nursery School emerged second best nationally at the 2026 Kenya National Drama and Film Festival held in Nyeri County. The festival showcased student talent under the theme of technology, politics, and power, focusing on Competency-Based Education (CBE).
Over the years, our schools—SonySugar Complex and SonySugar Nursery—have cemented a strong history of participation in Kenya's national drama and music festivals, often representing the Nyanza region with high-ranking performances.
Alongside the Nursery School, our Comprehensive School, SonySugar Complex, also reached the national level, presenting four items: two solo verses, a coral verse and a stand-up comedy. The stand-up comedy emerged second runners up at the national level.
Last year, the nursery school participated in the 2025 Kenya National Drama and Film Festival in Nakuru, showcasing a dramatized singing game titled "The Little Dreamers" and emerged position three nationally.
Our peak in the recent years was in 2018 when the Nursery school emerged as the top performer (Position One) countrywide in the National Music Festivals held in Nyeri with the item, "I wonder in the forest".
We are recognized for its active participation, well-trained ECDE teachers, and high-quality performances at the national level. The award winning item was presented before His Excellency President William Ruto at State Hose Nairobi, on Friday 17th April, 2026 under the leadership of Madam Jackline Wabuko, the Head Teacher.
